Shinta Fuji’s Fantasy Light Novel Ningen Fushin no Boukensha-tachi ga Sekai o Sukuu Yo Desu Gets Anime Adaptation

At the "MF Books Label 8th Anniversary Web Special Program!" streamed on YouTube last night, it was announced that Shinta Fuji's popular fantasy light novel Ningen Fushin no Boukensha-tachi ga Sekai o Sukuu Yo Desu (It seems that adventurers who distrust humans will save the world) will be adapted into an anime.

MF Books is a new literary novels label jointly launched by KADOKAWA Media Factory and Frontier Works in 2013, and its well-known series include Aneko Yusagi's The Rising of the Shield Hero, Y,A's The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?, and Rifujin na Magonote's Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation.

Ningen Fushin no Boukensha-tachi ga Sekai o Sukuu Yo Desu was first posted on the Japanese user-generated novel publishing website Shousetsukani Narou in January 2019, then its print edition has been published from the label since September of the year. The novel's latest 3rd volume hits stores in Japan on August 25, 2021. Its manga adaptation illustrated by Masaki Kawakami has been serialized on KADOKAWA's Comic Walker website since October 2019, and its next fourth volume is set to be released on September 21.

The novel author Fuji wrote on Twitter after the announcement, "First of all, I'd like to thank all the people who have been working me on this novel, all the people who worked hard together with me and encourage each other in creative activities, and all the people who have read my work and supported me. I will continue to devote myself to my work, and I look forward to your continued support. Thank you! Thank you!"

The novel first volume's synopsis:

That day, Nick, a member of a party of adventurers who had fought in many battles, was banished by the leader, whom he had looked up to like a father. Although he had been supporting his fellow adventurers with his money and knowledge, he was accused of embezzlement. Nick has been dumped by his girlfriend and has fallen into a state of despondency, but by chance, he hits it off with a former noblewoman, an excommunicated priestess, and a female dragon warrior who happen to be sitting with him at a tavern. The three are also adventurers who have been betrayed by someone and can no longer trust anyone! Nick and the three think that they can work together because they can't trust anyone, so they form an adventuring party to survive. "So, how about we call ourselves 'Survivors?'" An adventure story about a group of adventurers who distrust humanity, but come together as the strongest party in the world!
