Higurashi Anime Production Committee Swing Their Axe Down on Those Leaking Spoilers

Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU

For fans of the Higurashi franchise, the currently airing Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU is a weekly whirlwind of emotions and intrigue. But before the weekly broadcast of the episodes, some information has been leaked out, spoiling some key moments, and the production committee of the series is not happy.

In a post today on the official Twitter account for the Higurashi anime, the production committee explained that they will be taking legal action against those who release spoilers online before the episodes broadcast and are even looking to work with social media sites to get those accounts banned off the site. The production committee says they are doing this "for the fans who look forward to the story."

The production committee apologized to fans for the issue and confirmed that they had no part in the leaking of spoilers for upcoming episodes. They also thanked fans for their support.
