Blue Period OP Theme MV Follows Three-month Life of Art University Entrance Examinees
The official YouTube channel for the three-member Japanese piano rock band Omoinotake has posted a full music video for their major debut song "EVERBLUE," which is now used as the OP theme for the TV anime adaptation of Tsubasa Yamaguchi's coming-of-age manga Blue Period.
The band was formed in 2012, and "EVERBLUE" was digitally released from Sony Music Records' "onenation" label on October 1 and will be also included in their debut EP of the same name to be released on November 17.
Because the anime is a story about the protagonist Yatora Yagichi, who aims to go the Tokyo University of the Arts, this music video was filmed at Ochanomizu Art Institute, a preparatory school for art university in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward. It made up with a three-month documentary of the students at the school, who earnestly face their art works, and scenes of Omoinotake performing "EVERBLUE" surrounded by more than 50 works by past graduates of the school.
